PRANAYAMA: THE ART OF BREATHING (workshop)
We breathe every minute of our life, and yet a lot of us are unaware of our breath or of the power our breath has. In this workshop, we will cover the physical and energetic anatomy of breathing, explore breathing techniques used to calm, relax, and balance, as well as techniques used to enliven, energize and detoxify, and apply breathing exercises to real-life to aid with anxiety, sleep, digestion. PRE/POST NATAL YOGA AND PELVIC HEALTH (workshop) Hannah and Yeva return with their popular workshop about maintaining a healthy pelvic floor throughout pregnancy and beyond. Learn about healthy pelvic floor function and rehab, and a yoga practice to support body, mind, and spirit. All pregnancy/post-partum stages welcome. Nov. 24, 12-2 p.m. Preregister here.
YOGA FOR HEALTHY AGEING (6-class series, underway) This introductory class is for those of us who are 50+. We address concerns related to strength, flexibility, balance, agility, and stress management with a safe & accessible program of yoga poses, breathing practices and introductory meditation. Series began September 26. Wednesdays, 2-3 pm. Ask about our next session!
KID YOGA Designed to promote healthy bodies and minds through physical, cognitive and creative practices, we explore mindfulness, yoga postures, breathing, games and relaxation. Our goal is to build awareness, confidence and healthy bodies, as well as to give kids the tools they need to better cope with life stresses. Series started Oct. 3. Wednesdays, 4:15-5 pm. Core Strength and Body Balance: A Rehabilitative Pilates Mini Series. SERIES FULL! EMAIL HANNAH TO BE ADDED TO THE WAITING LIST. This therapeutic series will escalate your muscular balance, strength and movement control around the core, hips and shoulders. It takes a deep look at minimizing pain in the body, especially around the low back, neck, shoulders, upper back, hips and knees. MORNING SELF-PRACTICE: Full Circle offers drop-in self-practice from 9 – 10 a.m. on Fridays. There is no instruction, but an instructor is on hand to answer any questions. This is a great opportunity to develop your home practice. Suggested donation $2 (toward our scholarship program).
