Pre/Post Natal Yoga & Pelvic Health Workshop Pelvic health physiotherapist Hannah Barnes and yoga instructor Yeva Glover offer a workshop that includes information and practice on healthy pelvic floor function and rehab, as well as a yoga practice to support body, mind, and spirit. Summer is back and so is our Summer Asana Challenge! All summer long, snap pics of you striking a pose in some stunning location and post it to our Facebook page. The contest closes end of August and we’ll be displaying the top 10 in our studio for you to vote on throughout September. The winner receives a 12-class pass at the studio… so what are you waiting for?! Get out there!
Moment’om: Yoga and Movement in the Park returns for another season! Join yoga, dance, Pilates and other wellness instructors from our community for this free practice, happening every Wednesday over the noon hour at Bovill Square, Main Street, Smithers. Warm Yin, Tuesdays, 7 pm. Yin is both a gentle and encompassing yoga practice that is designed to literally open the body, peeling away layers of tension, stress and injury that reside within. A gentle approach is used to stretch the body, using longer holds to get beyond the muscle tissue into the connective tissue, the fascia of the body. All poses are seated or reclined. The slower nature of this practice is often described as a “moving meditation”. A great compliment to your regular practice. Suitable for all levels.
ManYoga is gentle basic yoga with a focus on easing stiff muscles, enhancing flexibility and relaxation. Mondays from 8:30-9:30 pm, and Tuesdays 10 am (in Telkwa). NEW SERIES STARTING in Telkwa and Smithers after May 15!
MORNING SELF-PRACTICE: THROUGHOUT THIS SPRING Full Circle offers drop-in self-practice from 9 – 10 a.m. on Fridays. There is no instruction, but an instructor is on hand to answer any questions. This is a great opportunity to develop your home practice. Suggested donation $2 (toward our scholarship program).
Just Dance is an opportunity to connect with yourself, body, mind and spirit; to let go of fears; to move freely in a judgement-free environment. Just Dance is held in a safe space, where people from all walks of life are invited to come together, take off their socks, shed their inhibitions, and just move with the music. Every second Friday, 8-10 pm. Entry by donation.
